MARCO Recovery Center became a Parents as Teachers Affiliate in 2025. 

So, what is Parents as Teachers?

Parents as Teachers is a home visiting program designed to support families with children prenatal through Kindergarten. Through PAT, parent educators partner with families to help children grow and develop to reach their full potential. 

Key components of Parents as Teachers: 

Personal Visits: Parent educators will meet with you and your family in your home - or another place you determine - to provide activities for you and your child, share development-centered parenting knowledge, and support your family's wellbeing.

Resource Connections: MARCO's PAT parent educators keep an up-to-date directory of resources in order to support you and your family wherever you are. 

Group Connections: MARCO PAT hosts group connections for families who are enrolled in PAT and interested families. Group connections have various formats and topics, but they are all meant to strengthen parents and families (plus, most of them have fun activities for you and your kiddos!).

What's the catch?

There's no catch! Services are 100% free to families. We accept any families in the following counties: Ward, McLean, Sheridan, Oliver, and Mercer.

In order to qualify for the $10 gift card for each home visit, you do need to qualify for the FamilyFirst program through the State of ND- but don't worry, we'll take care of this application for you!
